NON-LINEAR VIDEO EDITOR

NETMED Hellas is searching for an innovative, cutting-edge Non-Linear Video Editor, who will be responsible for operating electronic editing systems in order to create videotape features and packages for NOVA Digital Platform Channels.
Reporting to the Operations manager, he/she will be responsible for the editing of videos and program for sports shows and film channels. The video editor will be responsible for assembling the final product as a sequence consisting of shots from the raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects and graphics. Based in the post-production editing suite, the editor works closely with the journalist to meet his or her requirements.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • View and logging scenes in Video and Audio,
  • Editing of videos for Sports Shows,
  • Editing program for Sports and Film channels,
  • Editors should collaborate with all other editors of the department, Journalists and Producers, aiming the best possible result

Candidates must have the following skills / experience:

  • Electronics certificate, at least IEK level
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English language
  • Responsible and hard working
  • Ability to read and understand all monitoring equipment, scopes, waveforms, VU meters and familiarity with the operation of VTR playback machines
  • Ability to work on shifts and weekends
  • Faculty to face situations of pressure and to observe deadlines
  • Faculty of communication and most excellent spirit of collaboration
  • Knowledge and ability to operate a range of audio/video equipment, including Avid technology (NewsCutter, Media Composer, Adrenaline) , cuts-only systems (or related media composer systems) is a must
